STEP 1

Contact admissions

Call (305) 223-0506, option 4, or request information online. We'll answer your questions in English or Spanish.

STEP 2

Meet the requirements

Confirm you meet the age and education requirements below and complete any required entrance assessment.

STEP 3

Sign your enrollment agreement

Complete the enrollment agreement and receive your school catalog. Set up a payment plan if you need one.

STEP 4

Start class

Attend orientation and begin your program on an AM or PM schedule.

Admission requirements

  • Be at least 17 years and 9 months of age (a parent or guardian co-signs if under 18).
  • Present a high school diploma, GED or higher credential — or, if you don't have one, demonstrate the ability to benefit by passing the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (English 303–321, Math 294–313).
  • Graduates of a high school outside the U.S. without a copy of their diploma may sign an Educational Affidavit and take the Wonderlic BST.
  • Complete and sign the Enrollment Agreement.
  • Nursing Assistant applicants: submit the additional criminal-history questionnaire (FL Statute 456.0635).

Applicants for the Nursing Assistant program (which requires state certification) must submit an additional criminal-history questionnaire per Florida Statute 456.0635. A criminal record may affect eligibility for state licensure.

Tuition & payment

Genesis keeps tuition affordable and flexible. There are no interest or carrying charges on our plans.

Payment in full

Pay in full on or before the first day of class.

Installment plans

Flexible monthly plans set up around your budget, with a down payment on day one.

Employer reimbursement

Many employers reimburse tuition — ask your HR office.

MyCAA & Vocational Rehab

We're approved for MyCAA (military spouses) and accepted by Vocational Rehabilitation for those who qualify.

Private loans

Private education loans are available through outside lenders.

No federal Title IV

We don't participate in federal Title IV aid, which keeps our programs short and our tuition straightforward.

Genesis Vocational Institute does not participate in federal Title IV financial aid programs.
